Rohde & Schwarz Video Testers Now Support Compliance Tests On Devices Equipped With An MHL 2.0 Interface
In late November, the MHL Consortium certified the R&S VTC, R&S VTE and R&S VTS video testers from Rohde & Schwarz for acceptance testing on the new MHL 2.0 interface. This interface is used by mobile consumer electronics equipment, for example, to transmit 3D video data to HDTV devices.
The Rohde & Schwarz video tester family now allows manufacturers to perform acceptance testing on sources, loads and dongles in accordance with the test items detailed in sections 3.2, 4.2 and 5.2 of Compliance Test Specifications (CTS) 2.0. This requires the video testers to be equipped with an R&S VT-B2350 or R&S VT-B2351 MHL analyzer/generator module – to make them suitable not only for acceptance testing but also for protocol and video analysis with transmissions via the MHL 2.0 interface. Transmissions in packet-pixel as well as in 24-bit mode are supported. For more information on the MHL compliance test, visit www.mhlconsortium.org and refer to Methods of Implementation (MOI) for CTS 2.0.
The R&S VT-B2350 and R&S VT-B2351 MHL modules are now available. In addition, an HDMI as well as an analog interface module are available for the video testers of the R&S VTx family. For more information, visit www.the-av-experts.com.
