The HSM series of single channel modules includes five different models spanning a 250 kHz to 6.7 GHz frequency range. These synthesizers feature industry best stability, amplitude accuracy of ±0.25dB (typ) to -80dBm, ultra low phase noise, and more.

True phase coherency with channel-to-channel stability is achievable through integration of several RF synthesizer modules in the HSM series. This line features a 10 or 100 MHz reference input, a 100MHz Reference Out of -165dBc/Hz1/2 (10kHz OS), a <10µs, 100%="" settled="" switching="" speed,="" an="" spi="" or="" usb="" communications="" interface,="" internal="" temperature="" monitor="" output,="" an="" internal="" pulse="" modulation="" burst="" mode,="" and="" more.="">

The core architecture of the HSM Series modules is derived from Holzworth's proprietary NON-PLL design to provide the ultimate in phase / frequency stability. This direct-digital/direct-analog hybrid design was originally developed as a key building block for our phase noise analysis products. The hybrid architecture provides frequency agility & resolution, phase continuous switching and predictable performance without compromising on spurious or phase noise performance.
