Power Management IC For The SkyBlue™ System: SKY87020-12
Skyworks offers a high-efficiency RF front-end power management IC designed for the SkyBlue™ System, and for APT RF power amplifier (PA) applications in portable battery powered devices such as smartphones, tablets, and eBook readers. The SKY87020-12 provides a 4.5 V bias supply for RF PA operation with load up to 3 mA, and is available whenever the device is enabled. The VIN supply is bypassed to the 4V5 output when the device is disabled.
The SKY87020-12 IC includes a high-efficiency DC-DC voltage converter that delivers a user-programmable RF PA APT supply for the 2.5 V to 5.5 V input range. The device is housed in a 16-pin, 2.005 mm x 2.005 mm Chip Scale Package (CSP) package, and has over-temperature and short-circuit protection.
