ParkerVision Introduces Three New Products For Wireless Applications

Jacksonville, FL (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ParkerVision, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRKR) ("ParkerVision" or the "Company"), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of semiconductor technology solutions for wireless applications, today announced the introduction of three new Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits ("RFICs") that address a variety of wireless applications.

The Company's new RF solutions are targeted at challenging applications that require high dynamic range and high linearity performance within a variety of wireless markets. The new additions to the ParkerVision product portfolio include:

  • The PVD5870R RF I/Q Demodulator: A wide-band quadrature down-converter based on ParkerVision's RF energy sampling down-conversion technology;
  • The PVT2526T Dual-Band Modulator: A power efficient transmitter with few external components enabling a smaller printed circuit board footprint; and
  • The PV2510P-1A Digitally Controlled Power Supply (DCPS): A highly efficient, digitally controlled switching power supply.

These new devices represent ParkerVision's continuing effort to develop and market products for an expanded set of applications. The portfolio of products available support applications including cellular, RFID, wireless infrastructure, ISM, M2M and wireless test equipment. Targeting these markets allows ParkerVision to increase the potential opportunities for commercializing its many wireless technologies.

"We are excited to announce another expansion to our lineup of advanced RF components," said John Stuckey Executive Vice President of ParkerVision. "These devices embody our patented, leading-edge techniques for developing exceptionally high performance RF solutions, while still achieving the greenest power profile in the industry. Inefficient power usage impacts both fixed and mobile systems and manifests itself in shorter battery life, unacceptable heat generation and wasteful cooling costs. ParkerVision's expertise in designing high-performance RF technologies that achieve their performance targets at a fraction of the power usage is unmatched."

ParkerVision's PVD5870R 400-3000MHz RF I/Q Demodulator delivers the highest dynamic range and linearity in its class with a 3dB insertion loss, a 5dB noise floor, an IIP3 of +32dBm and an IIP2 of +75dBm at 882MHz, while operating at an ultra-low power consumption of 138mW.

The PVT2526T is a dual-band, high-efficiency I/Q Modulator with integrated baseband filters that offers excellent ACPR1 and ACPR2 (-52dBc and -79dBc respectively) at +2dBm output and power consumption of 103mW.

The PV2510P-1A DCPS is a digitally-controlled switching power supply that accepts a 3.0V to 4.3V input range and delivers up to 1.0A continuous and 2.0A peak output current with 97% efficient.
