Millimeter Wave Voltage-Controlled Gunn Oscillators: GDV Series
The GDV series of millimeter wave voltage-controlled Gunn oscillators are ideally suited for FMCW radar/transceivers, in test and instrumentation sources, for use as local oscillators with AFC or phase-locked operation, and as drivers for wideband amplifiers, multipliers, and frequency extenders. They feature excellent linearity and high output power availability.
These voltage-controlled Gunn oscillators provide optimal electronic tuning characteristics by coupling a Gunn device to a tuning varactor. The combination of high power and wide tuning bandwidths are available to meet a broad range of applications. They provide electrical tuning up to ±500 MHz.
Two different design configurations for this series is available. A narrow tuning range is provided through a parallel-configured varactor (with required integral isolators). Custom designs and configurations are also available for unique applications, and space/MIL compliance is available.
