LPKF To Demo Laser Direct Imaging (LDI) System

Untitled

At the MicroTAS exhibit in San Antonio this October, LPKF will be showcasing the newest edition of the ProtoLaser family: the LPKF ProtoLaser LDI. The ProtoLaser LDI is a universal, high-resolution, table top laser direct imaging (LDI) system for prototyping on resist-covered substrates. With a software-selectable 1 or 3 µm laser beam spot, and a working area of nearly 4 x 4 inches, the system is optimized for creating the ultrafine features required by the microfluidic and MEMS industry. The compact software combines functionality with powerful, yet user-friendly software.

The UV based laser system activates UV resist-covered substrates – directly from CAD. The LPKF ProtoLaser LDI eliminates the need for alignment equipment and expensive exposure masks with long lead-times. The process can be utilized on a wide variety of substrates without any special environmental conditions. The substrate is inserted using either a standard or custom cartridge for easy change-over from job to job.

LPKF will be located at booth 12 at the MicroTAS exhibit in San Antonio, TX, October 26th through 30th. Stop by to see a live demo of the ProtoLaser LDI and gather further information about the many other LPKF systems.
