RF Monolithics, Inc. (RFM)brid transmitters has been unleashed for short-range wireless data applications. The 433.92 MHz TX5000 hybrid transmitter is designed specifically for applications in Europe while the 916.50 MHz TX6000 is designed for use in North America. Both employ surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) technology and provide either on-off keyed (OOK) or amplitude-shift keyed (ASK) modulation. They support RF data transmission rates up to 115.2 kb/s. The TX5000 measures 0.38 x 0.43 x 0.08 in. and the TX6000 measures 0.28 x 0.40 x 0.08 in.. Both are housed in a ceramic-metal package.
