On Monday, March 18, Fred Hochberg, Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (“Ex-Im Bank”), will give the keynote address at the luncheon titled Ex-Im Bank - Building Competitive Parity for a Global Satellite Marketplace. Mr. Hochberg will highlight the increasingly important role of export credit agency finance in the satellite industry and Ex-Im Bank's rapidly growing finance to provide a level playing field for US exporters in a competitive global industry.
“We are honored and excited to have Chairman Hochberg keynote our luncheon on Monday,” said Lindsey Fuller, show director. “He is a visionary leader in finance with key insights into the future of the global satellite marketplace from which attendees will benefit.”
Under Chairman Hochberg’s leadership, Ex-Im Bank is making steady progress towards achieving the President’s goal of doubling exports over a seven year period – set under the National Export Initiative. In just the past 3 years, authorizations in the satellite sector have grown exponentially as the Ex-Im Bank has supported transactions for the U.S.’s four major satellite manufacturers, a U.S. launch provider, major U.S. insurance companies, manufacturers of ground equipment, and for small business and other sub-suppliers in the satellite industry.
The Keynote Luncheon highlights a full day of programming in the Satellite Finance Forum at SATELLITE 2013 which will offer frank discussions of how corporate executives, boards, investors, and bankers view investment alternatives and options in the satellite arena. Additional sessions include: CEO Roundtable: Settling in to New Market Realities, CFO Roundtable: Managing Board, Banker, and Investor Expectations, Investment Banking Panel: Financing Strategies in an Ambiguous Market, Investors Panel: Defining Success in the Current Environment, and Visualizing the Future of the Satellite Finance Industry.
