Flexible VNA Cable Connections For Higher Measurement Precision: SUCOFLEX® 500 Series

Source: HUBER+SUHNER

The SUCOFLEX® 500 series offers the SUCOFLEX 500S, SUCOFLEX 526V and SUCOFLEX 526S “plug-and-smile” assemblies designed for extreme flexibility, simple use, and best-in-class phase and amplitude stability with flexure, movement, temperature, and tensile stress.

SUCOFLEX 550S is the latest addition to the SUCOFLEX 500 family and provides a range of outstanding benefits, including a high electrical performance with an enhanced mechanical design for durability. The patented rotary swaging technology by HUBER+SUHNER gives the SUCOFLEX 550S the flexibility of a stranded inner conductor while maintaining the electrical properties of a solid inner conductor. A longer service life provides industry professionals with an assembly that offers less testing downtime and more cost efficient.

The SUCOFLEX® 526V is a microwave cable that features maximum 50 ppm phase variation vs. temperature between +15 and +30 °C only. It also has no "PTFE phase knee" at +19 °C, as on conventional VNA test cable assemblies. Additional features include a unique measurement stability, rugged cable construction, and gentle VNA interface treatment.

The SUCOFLEX® 526S is a microwave cable that features maximum 1500 ppm phase variation vs. temperature between -55 and +125 °C only. Thanks to their unique cable and connector design, they deliver best-in-class phase and amplitude stability vs. flexure in combination with outstanding return and insertion loss up to 26.5 GHz.

Benefits of the SUCOFLEX® 500 Series includes:

  • High, stable electrical performance up to 26.5 GHz
  • Robust, precise center positioning of 3.5 mm center conductors
  • Increased test efficiency and measurement saving costs due to reduced calibration intervals
  • Accurate and repeatable measurements
