Euroquartz Introduces Close Tolerance Real-Time Clock Crystals

frequency tolerance

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has introduced a new range of ultra-miniature surface mount real-time clock crystals offering optional ±5ppm frequency tolerance for high accuracy applications.

Designed to provide the smallest possible component size for real-time clock applications, the new X3215 devices are housed in 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.8mm ultra-miniature surface mount packages and offer low ageing, RoHS compliance and are lead-free. Frequency is 32.768 kHz with frequency tolerance of ±20ppm as standard with ±10ppm and ±5ppm options (all at 25°C). X3215 series crystals also offer high shock and vibration resistance making these rugged micro-miniature devices ideal for use in all real-time clock applications and battery powered hand-held equipment.

Specifications include X-cut crystal, equivalent series resistance of 50kΩ typical (70kΩ maximum), drive level 0.1µW typical (0.5µW maximum), ageing of ±3ppm/year maximum, operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C and storage temperature range from -55 to +125°C.

Euroquartz X3215 real-time clock crystals are supplied on 8mm EIA tape and reel with 3000 pieces per reel.
