3.5 A Constant On-Time, Step-Down DC-DC Converter: SKY87202
The SKY87202 is a 3.5 A constant on-time, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter with a 1.2 MHz switching frequency. While keeping excellent line and load regulation and maximizing input efficiency, the device is able to provide output voltage from 0.6 V to 3.3 V from input voltage ranging from 2.7 V to 6.0 V.
The SKY87202 features constant on-time control that allows simple loop stabilization with minimal external components while providing fast transient response. The converter has cycle-by-cycle current limits and thermal shutdown for protection against fault conditions. Power sequencing is controlled by the EN and PG pins, and the device is made available in a 12-pin, 2 mm x 2 mm QFN package. The SKY87202 can be used in many medical applications such as those utilizing defibrillators, heart monitors, hearing aids, and other radiation and clinical equipment.
