Broadcast Satellite Modulator: Vyper 3000
The Vyper 3000 is TeamCast’s new state-of-the-art satellite modulator designed to operate within the full L-band range (950 – 2150 MHz) and the IF band range (50 – 180 MHz) for satellite, DSNG, and Direct To Home (DTH) applications. As a high performance and cost effective solution, this modulator is in full compliance with DVB-S, DVB-DSNG, DVB-S2, and DVB-S2X standards, as well as the latest Carrier ID requirements defined by ETSI 103 129.
The Vyper has flexible input in 4 Ethernets ports and 4 ASI inputs. It is able to drive a Block Up Converter (BUC) with high stability and 10 MHz reference on the L-band RF output. The modulator offers a bit rate from 0.2 Mbps up to 200 Mbps, and content aggregation up to MPEG-TS in one satellite carrier via the Multistream feature. A modulation core is included to manage both seamless modcod switching and different bitrate adaptations. A user-friendly, dry contact interface ensures ease-of-use, full configuration of the platform, and can be integrated in a 1+1 or N+1 redundancy systems.
