Backlight LED Drivers for Smartphones and Tablets

Skyworks has recently released four new backlight LED drivers designed specifically for next-generation smart phones and tablets.

These backlight LED drivers have been designed to enhance image quality and resolution while maximizing battery life, features that meet increasing consumer needs where smartphones and tablets are concerned.

IHS iSuppli projects that smartphones with a screen size of 5 inches or larger will increase to 60 million units in 2013. These backlight LED drivers are designed for smartphones and tablets with display panels ranging in size from 4 to 12 inches.

Four different models are currently available. Each is a high efficiency white light emitting diode (WLED) backlight driver, with variations in their number of channels. Download the datasheets for more information.
