The MP1797A is a general purpose 40G jitter analyzer. It features a built-in modulator and demodulator and can measure jitter characteristics, including jitter tolerance, jitter transfer, and jitter amount, which are the most widely used parameters for evaluating digital transmissions. It can be used to measure OC-768/STM-256 network equipment or modules.
