The Model KMW2040M13 is an RF power amplifier module for OEM applications or integration into a user system. The RF power amplifier comprises a printed wiring assembly housed in a machined aluminum enclosure mounted on a heatsink with feed-through capacitive terminals for connection to the DC power source. Cooling requirements defined by the data provided below and protection of the output devices against output mismatch are the responsibility of the user.

Power Amplifier Module Incorporating Transmit/Receive Switching
A new 50W RF power amplifier module that includes built-in RF sensing transmit/receive switching, Model KMW2040M13 operates in the SATCOM band of 200 to 400 MHz and is the latest member of the company's family of amplifier modules designed for the toughest, most extreme military conditions. An input power requirement of 2 to 6W makes the KMW2040M13 compatible with military radios of varying output power. Transmit switching is achieved in 40 mSec with receive path losses of 0.7 dB. The new unit comes standard with a heatsink but can be ordered without for integration into an existing system.
