AR Modular RF Supplies WiMAX Booster Amplifiers To Increase Range Of Airborne Communications
Military planes and Law Enforcement planes flying patrols are often limited by the range of their communications equipment. When one of our NATO allies needed to extend that range they sought the expertise of AR Modular RF, a leading provider of tactical military booster amplifiers.
AR Modular RF was commissioned to create high-power WiMAX booster amplifier modules to increase the communication range of Law Enforcement Airborne Patrols. The unit provided by AR, model CMS2010M11, has a power of 50 watts and a frequency range of 2.0 to 2.5 GHz. Initial trials using this module have been reported as extremely successful in enabling patrols to fly farther without losing critical communications.
The Model CMS2010M11 is a 2.3 to 2.5 GHz Solid-State latest generation LDMOS power amplifier module built for the wireless broadband network. This 50 dBm linear power amplifier has a gain of 50 dB minimum and is designed to meet the WiMAX (802.16) specifications. It can be modified to meet various types of OFDM or NPR requirements. The module comprises a printed wiring assembly housed in a machined aluminum enclosure.
