Marketronics Corporation To Build Out a 220 MHz Securicor Wireless Network

Securicor Wireless Inc., a global provider of spectrum-efficient wireless technology, products and services, today announced that Marketronics Corporation, a leading distributor of wireless products and services, has placed an order in the amount of approximately $2 million to build out a 220 MHz Securicor Wireless network in South Florida. Marketronics will own and operate the network, and will sell state-of-the-art wireless voice and data services utilizing the Securicor Wireless name.

Covering West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Ft Lauderdale, Miami and the Florida Keys, the new system will showcase Securicor Wireless' spectrum-efficient wireless products and services, and will enable Marketronics to provide state-of- the-art voice and data services covering a population of approximately 5 million. In addition to this South Florida network, the companies expect to launch similar networks, wireless services and products in Latin America and the Caribbean. Marketronics has offices in Sunrise, FL; Mexico City; Sao Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile. The network will feature products and services including AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) and status messaging along with mobile voice capability.

The successful design and build-out of the network is based on Linear Modulation technology, Securicor Wireless' spectrum-efficient proprietary technology. In addition, as part of the agreement, Marketronics will distribute Securicor Wireless's products throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
