Spectrum Devices has developed a 2-30 MHz, 500 watt reference design using a pair of HF50-220 devices. Based on the Spectrum Devices application note "A Broadband 500-MHz Push-Pull Amplifier" by Ben Caccavale, this power module achieves over 500 watts with a minimum of 14 dB across the HF band. The reference design uses wideband 9:1 transformers for input and output matching, and also includes an on-board bias supply for Class AB operation
