The RF2484 direct quadrature modulator IC directly addresses the needs of infrastructure manufacturers, and is capable of direct modulation for W-CDMA, CDMA, GSM-EDGE/EGSM and TDMA/TDMA-EDGE base stations.

The RF2484 exhibits carrier and sideband suppression, typically greater than 35dBc over temperature, while exceeding system specifications for ACPR, making it ideal for use in dual band CDMA and W-CDMA base station equipment. Noise floor performance is also exceptional -- typically better than -152dBc/Hz in both bands. The device is specified for use with a 5V power supply.

Manufactured using the company's GaAs HBT technology, the RF2484 is offered in a small industry-standard MLF-16 plastic package. Offered in quantities of 10,000 units, production quantities will be ready for shipment in January 2001. Samples and fully assembled evaluation boards are available now.
