The DACP18001 is a broadband analog detector which operates from 0.1 to 18 GHz and is packaged in the new hermetic high frequency CougarPak. Powered from ±5 VDC, this detector features a typical sensitivity of 140 mV at -15 dBm and covers a 25 dB range from -–55° to +85° C. Using a precision DC coupled video amplifier, pulse response times are less than 1 µs while maintaining an output offset voltage less than ±2 mV over temperature.

Cougar offers a full line of both analog and threshold detectors. Our designs incorporate either planar gemanium tunnel diodes or silicon Schottky diodes with video amplifiers and comparators to provide analog or threshold detector functional blocks. The tunnel detector provides excellent temperature stability in a simple, unbiased configuration while the biased or unbiased Schottky designs are offered for the most demanding temperature environments. Precision video components offer low-level detection with low output offset voltage and drift and exhibit moderate pulse response times. High speed video models provide fast pulse response at generally lower dynamic range due to a higher offset and drift penalty. All designs focus on flat frequency response, low VSWR and good temperature stability in multiple package options.

Applications include: aerospace, space, military, industrial and commercial.

MIL-PRF38534 and ISO 9001 certified.
