Microlab Announces Expanded Values Of 20 And 30 dB For Tapper Range
January 13, 2010
Microlab, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wireless Telecom Group, Inc., announces new values for the DN range of Tappers for outdoor and In-Building Distributed Antenna System applications, where Tappers can replace directional couplers at far lower cost and improved performance.
The new 20dB and 30dB Tappers add to the range of taps that starts at just 3dB, a 2:1 split. All have much improved VSWR over previous tapper designs and are 50% lower in price than the equivalent directional coupler! Each has a bandwidth covering all of the wireless bands from 380 to 2,700 MHz, thus including Tetra, SMR/PMR, and all cellular bands, including the new 700 MHz and WiMAX 2500 MHz band. Also very important, the guaranteed PIM (Passive Intermodulation) performance of all models is <-150 dBc. All are available in either N or 7-16 mm DIN connectors, or specials with different genders or even a mixture of the two connector types.
Microlab DN series of Tappers are designed without solder joints and with an air dielectric, main line loss is minimized and reliability enhanced, supporting the near 100% reliability of passive distributed antenna systems. The dissipative loss is <0.1 dB, units meet IP67 environment and are RoHS compliant.
This product is available for immediate evaluation from Microlab/FXR and selected distributors. For pricing and complete details call 'Sales' or visit www.microlab.fxr.com.
