Australian Mobile Carriers Forum Accepts IXUS ICNIRP Compliance Software
February 23, 2009
Stellenbosch, South Africa -- IXUS software, developed by EMSS was launched last year providing a complete ICNIRP Compliance management tool for mobile operators and contractors. It has been used on large scale implementations in Southern Africa for the maintenance of ICNIRP Compliance at thousands of mobile base stations.
IXUS was recently introduced to the world leading Australian compliance market. Functionality necessary for successful release in Australia was identified by visiting Australia in August 2008 and discussing customizations with potential customers. Since then EMSS made available a release catering specifically for the Australian needs.
Customers from down under can now construct 3-D models, calculate ICNIRP non compliance zones and automatically generate official documentation and manage a database of base stations using just one product. Automatically generated documents include various Base station management books, Site assessment reports and Certificates all according to regulations set out by the Australian Mobile Carriers Forum (MCF) a division of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA).
An independent review of IXUS prepared by the Australian Centre for RF Bio-effects Research was accepted by the MCF as validation that the software meets its requirements. The MCF subsequently accepts the upload of EME Compliance documentation and RF Assessment files generated by IXUS onto its national base station archive.
According to the MCF the consistent interpretation of RF Hazard Drawings inserted into the MCF's base station management books is of critical importance in managing base station safety. EMSS will continue working with the MCF and the Australian RF Assessors to ensure a smooth transition to the IXUS software.
