Anatech Announces 380 To 870 MHz Dual-Directional Coupler

Anatech Electronics recently introduced the rugged AM625DC856 50-dB dual-directional coupler that operates from 380 to 870 MHz. It is an excellent choice for applications ranging from antenna power monitoring in base stations. It accepts an RF input power of 500 W average and 5 kW peak. Isolation is typically 25 dB, insertion loss is 0.05 dB, and VSWR is less than 1.15:1 at input and output ports, and third-order intermodulation distortion is 155 dBc. Connectors are Type-N female for the mainline input and output and SMA female for the forward and reverse coupled ports.

Anatech Electronics customizes single- and dual-directional couplers, as well as offers a full line of standard couplers, spanning from 1 MHz to 18 GHz. The couplers are designed for low, or high power, low loss, octave, dual octave, and broadband performance. Typical Coupling values in directional couplers is around 10dB, but coupling values as high as 50dB can be achieved. Directional couplers provide high directivity in the range of 20dB ~ 30dB, with minimum insertion loss. They are capable of handling average power upto 500 W and peak power upto 3 KW.

Anatech Electronics also manufactures hybrid couplers which is used to either split an input signal with a 90 Deg phase shift between the outputports, or combine two signals while maintaining high isolation between the ports.
