Custom MMIC, a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), has added a new low noise amplifier, the CMD185P3, to its expanding line of standard amplifier products.

The CMD185P3 has a low noise figure of 1.9 dB and associated gain of +15 dB across the 4 to 8 GHz bandwidth, while only requiring a single positive supply voltage (+4.0 V @ 75 mA). With an output 1dB compression point at +15 dBm, the CMD185P3 is ideal for converter chains in communications systems where small size and low DC power consumption are required.

The CMD185P3 is housed in a Pb-free, RoHs compliant, 3 x 3 mm plastic surface-mount package and is 50 ohm matched on the input and output ports, thus eliminating the need for external DC blocks and matching components.
