Richardson RFPD Introduces New MicroSplatch Antennas From Linx
Series of tiny, low-cost antennas breaks the chip barrier
Richardson RFPD, Inc. recently announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new series of antennas from Linx Technologies (Linx). The tiny, low-cost MicroSplatch antennas represent a groundbreaking alternative to the high cost, long lead times, and limited frequency choices of chip antennas.
Building on their reflow-compatible planar antennas, the MicroSplatch antennas offer comparable performance to Linx's Splatch antennas, but use only one third of the critical board space. The MicroSplatch is available in the 403 MHz, 418 MHz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 916 MHz, and 2.4 GHz bands. Custom designs within the 400 MHz to 3 GHz range are also available. The devices are ideally suited for handheld devices like remote controls and small data transmission systems.
