Linx Launches Pre-Certified OEM Handheld Transmitters

Pre-Certified Transmitter Set To Expand Application Possibilities

Linx Technologies has introduced its next generation of pre-certified OEM handheld transmitters. Based on the Linx MS Series encoder, these compact transmitters bring a new level of security and performance to a wide range of remote control and command applications.

The OEM transmitters add basic remote control features to a product, and the keypad, labeling, and case color can be modified to meet customer specific requirements. Available in 315, 418 or 433.92 MHz, they are pre-certified by the FCC, Industry Canada, and the European Union, which eliminates the cost and time of testing and approval. When combined with the Linx LR Series receiver and MS Series decoder, a highly reliable wireless command and control link is formed.

Two models are now available which provide enhancements over previous products. The MS Compact Handheld features an internal planar antenna and has a transmission range of up to 750 feet. The Long-Range Handheld transmitter features a small external antenna, which provides for longer 1,000-foot transmission distances.

Both units feature a highly stable synthesized transmitter that delivers improved range and reliability. The on-board MS Series encoder allows setup without DIP switches or cut traces and increases security with more than 16,000,000 unique addresses. Up to eight keypad buttons are supported and user permissions can be set to the individual button level. MS Series decoders output the encoder ID which allows identification of the originating handheld.
